The Tarka Trail
The Tarka Trail is a 180 mile, figure of eight walking and cycling trail that follows the route travelled by Tarka the Otter in the famous novel by Henry Williamson. The Tarka Trail will take you through ancient villages, wooded valleys, along the banks of rivers, high over moorland with spectacular views of Dartmoor and Exmoor and along dramatic sea cliffs and vast expanses of beautiful beaches.

Exmoor Zoo is a conservation centre in Exmoor, North Devon, England. The zoo developed from Exmoor Bird Gardens, opened on the site of a farm in 1982. The current owners took over in 1993, and have enlarged and developed the zoo, now specialising in the conservation of smaller animals.
Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park
As well as lions, wolves, sea lions, primates, meerkats, penguins and more, well known for the impressive life sized animatronic dinosaurs & gigantic indoor soft play area for dinomite fun, whatever the weather!
Bideford was once Britain’s third largest port and while it still has maritime connections, these days, it is more widely known as being a thriving shopping centre, with a historic Pannier Market.
The largest town in North Devon, packed with shops and local produce, a partly pedestrianised centre and features many fine buildings, attractive narrow streets, alleys and the picturesque quay.
